About Me

I am extremely passionate about evidence-based treatment and I strive to provide the best treatment based on psychological research.

My training and background make me a true expert in the field of anxiety and OCD. With me, you can be assured will be getting treatment for anxiety/OCD that is not only shown to work, but is the gold-standard approach.

My Background

I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist (license: PYL043844). I am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, and I am Board-Certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). I adhere to the strictest ethical guidelines and highest standard of care.

I specialize in the evidence-based treatment of anxiety and related disorders, including OCD, in children, adolescents, adults, and families. In addition, I treat various behavioural problems and eating disorders. I have received specialist advanced training  in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Behavioural Parent Training (BPT), and Family-Based Therapy (FBT) for Anorexia.

I earned a first class honors degree at the University of Bath in Sport and Exercise Science. I earned my  PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2015 at the University of Washington, which was one of the top 2 programs in the United States with truly world-leading mentors. My dissertation was related to concussion recovery in youth athletes, and I won an award for paper of the year with the American Psychological Association for my work.

I worked at Harborview Medical Center and Seattle Children's Hospital, where I was given the John E. Carr Award for Outstanding Achievement in Empirically-Supported Psychotherapies. I then moved to the biggest private practice clinic in Seattle (EBTCS), where I completed my post-doctoral fellowship.  At EBTCS, I became the Director of Training and Education, before becoming the Assistant Director of the Child Anxiety Center.

I continue to actively supervise both students and clinicians and I'm a Clinical Instructor at the University of Washington where I provide direct training services for their students.

I moved back to the UK with my wife and two kids, who keep me on my feet! I'm very active and like to spend my time outdoors, taking my kids to fun places, playing board games, and reading sci-fi.
